Browns Lake Trailhead

 Browns Lake Trailhead and Crown Point are in a gorgeous area near the Powder Canyon and Pennock Pass. It was another area affected by the Cameron Peak fire. It's in a red that does get a lot of people even on weekends. I do recommend that you have a four wheel drive vehicle for the road to the trail head. The extra traction is definitely needed and clearance is important too.

Pennock Pass

Pennock Pass is a little known area in West of Bellvue Colorado. Here is a link in Google Maps to help you find this awesome spot:

The trails at the top of the pass are US Forest Service fire roads, and sometimes just end randomly, but the trade off is the lack of crowds even on weekends. Here is a slideshow from my last trip up there just a few weeks ago. 

WW2 Bomber

 About 10 years ago I saw this huge WW2 bomber fly over my house. I found out the it was B-29 and they were having a showing at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport  (That is a long name for an airport. I liked it better when it was JeffCo.)

This is a picture I got on the tarmac of the tail which I feel is iconic. Enjoy!

Red Mountain Open Space

 Red Mountain Open Space is probably the least known open space in Larimer County and Colorado. It is a series of hiking trails that straddle the Colorado Wyoming border. Note that the only entrance is on the Colorado side.

Flowering Trees

 I have two trees in the front yard of my house in Colorado, and when the bloom each spring the bees show up in great numbers. With so many bees, the trees almost have an electric sound to them.

Took this picture right during sunset with one of my Canon DSLR cameras. I thought the colors and the contrast were interesting.  

Another Fantastic Sunset

When I took the picture of this sunset, I really didn't think it was anything special. When I downloaded it from my camera, and loaded into Apple Photo and Krita I was really surprised at how much I liked it.
